Workshop weeks within the T-Mobile Local Support
In the past weeks Millhaus realized three more T-Mobile Local Support Workshops. These exclusive workshops were raffled within the T-Mobile Local Support project. The lucky winners from Wuppertal, Essen and Dresden were looking forward to a 4 hour Skateboard and MTB Workshop together with their friends or class mates. The coaches Alex Mizurov, Mack McKelton, Benny Korthaus and Carlo Dieckmann visited the teenagers in their cities. The participants had the chance to receive hints, copy tricks or just chill with the professionals.
Amateurs are able to register for the last workshop lottery at www.t-mobile-localsupport.de .

T-Mobile Local Support Band Contest: we have some winners!
Since the start of the T-Mobile Local Support Band Contest in July 2008, more than 150 junior bands of various styles of music have applied for the contest on the Local Support website. Via public voting, ten of the bands qualified for the finale.
Afterwards, a jury of experts consisting of VJ Joko (MTV), Henning Wehland (H-Blockx), DJ Sepalot (Blumentopf), Marc Liebscher (manager of the band Sportfreunde Stiller) and Götz Gottschalk (manager and producer) had the difficult job to decide which bands had the most potential.
The jury eventually chose Campaign like Clockwork, an indie rock band from Wetzlar. “Sounds cool”, said MTV VJ Joko. “Cool guy, cool voice – the perfect package. In my opinion, this is a band which is ready for the big bang.” DJ Sepalot was also impressed: “Nice voice, nice sound, nice song – more of that please!”
Second place went to the ska punk band Destination Anywhere from Siegen. The jury was again absolutely convinced: “Very good. Judging from the overall impression, they sound the most professional”, said Henning Wehland of H-Blockx. Also Joko commented positively: “Sounds very good and mature. The parts all fit together perfectly.” Not Called Jinx from Berlin made the third place, followed by Frite Jewel from Rothenburg and Special Guests from Kassel. The winner bands can look forward to receiving incentives and non-cash prizes from the sponsors Gibson and Sennheiser. And as a special highlight, Campaign like Clockwork will perform together with the hip hop crew Creme Fresh at the Local Support Skateboard Challenge on 13 September in Stuttgart. Destination Anywhere will have the chance to demonstrate their live skills at the Local Support Street Challenge (BMX) on 27 September in Munich, where they play together with the rock ‘n’ roll band Five!Fast!!Hits!!!. Both bands will get additional support from their fan community as – just like on a school trip – the young musicians travel together with their fans in a specially organized bus. And to make sure the bands are perfectly prepared for their performance, they get exclusive band coaching from real stars of the music scene and extensive coverage from spickmich.de.

Millhaus at the IDM of Dragons – not much wind, but a lot of fun
Even though the wind was missing, Richard Walch managed to take some amazing pictures at the IDM of dragons at Lake Starnberg - thanks to his creativity and experience in sailing photography. Already in the evening, he added the pictures to his presentation “Snow & Water – from the mountains to the ocean” at the yacht club Munich.
With many emotional pictures, Richard Walch impressively illustrates his way from snowboard photography to sailing, for example, with the documentation of the United Internet Team Germany and the America’s Cup.
Although the wind was weak, some races were possible. Millhaus would like to thank Marinepool for the provision of top-quality sailing clothing.

Successful re-launch of the brand Abarth supported by Millhaus
Not only the weather in Munich showed up with brilliance – also the brandnew 500 Abarth gave a special brightness to the “Altstadtfest” in Munich with its premiere at the restaurant “Lutter&Wegner”.
Exactly at 10:00 a.m., the famous graffiti artist Loomit and his team started to refine the facade of the Bavarian Stock House at the “Lenbachplatz”. The graffiti guys roped down from the rooftop for letting the world of Abarth flow together with the urban scenery of Munich in a visual way on the fixed blow up. It took the team only 4 hours to create a spectacular graffiti for the new 500 Abarth under the curious glimpses of numerous spectators.
Millhaus was responsible for the entire project coordination and provided the decent framework with the premiere event on the roof terrace of “Lutter&Wegner”. Copious guests followed the invitation to the official launch of the 500 Abarth, including prominent personalities of the film and culture scene. The lounge was specifically established for the 500 Abarth premiere starting with the red-white branded catering, over the carrera course right up to the exhibited Abarth model and the TV-spot (premieremovie) – everything was according to the motto „Motorsport“.
With Eurosport anchorwoman Michaela Sachenbacher, DJ Explizit and Graffiti Expert Christian Hundertmark leading through the event, the guests enjoyed the ambience and the graffiti action close-by.
