Millhaus supports the documentary photography festival FotoDoks.

Already the second time the documentary photography festival FotoDoks takes place in the framework the Nonfiktionale. Just as the film festival FotoDoks 2009 is under the topic “real-time” – this poses exiting questions which are put to the moving as well as the hold and stalled picture and thus motivate an exchange between two media in the scope of documentation.
In a public announcement photographers were invited to apply for FotoDoks 2009 with a result of almost 100 applications. The jury consisting of Thomas Hoepker (Magnum Photos), Sabine Schründer (last year’s FotoDoks winner and tutor at Lette Verein Berlin), Jörg Koopmann (Ostkreuz München) and the FotoDoks organizer Hans Herbig and Robert Pupeter were confronted with a hard decision: “We cannot count the many E-Mails and calls anymore that were placed between Munich, New York and Berlin”, says Hans Herbig, “but after a final Skype conference we agreed and the nine photographs were found and will present their work at FotoDoks 2009. We are curious about the audience sharing our enthusiasm.”
The vernissage of FotoDoks 2009 takes place on September 24th in presence of the artists and judges. Afterwards the Nonfiktionale opening movie will be shown in the cinema of Bad Aibling.
