Its success proves the T-Mobile Local Support Music Promotion right: The enormous participation (more than 480 applications) in the last Newcomer Contest exceeded everybody’s expectations. Therefore the T-Mobile Local Support Band Contest enters the third round and starts once again the search for the best newcomers that Germany has to offer. The bands can actually apply online on www.t-mobile-localsupport.de/bandcontest and succeed the officiating holders of the title: “3 Alias Te” from Uhldingen! The winners will expect exclusive non-cash and sponsoring prizes in the amount of more than 20.000 € in cooperation with Gibson, Mapex, Marshall, Korg and Sennheiser as well as a Live-Gig in front of a huge audience.
The course of the Band Contest
The T-Mobile Local Support Band Contest is structured in 3 phases: Young music enthusiasts of all genres from all over Germany can introduce and plug themselves and their songs on the Band Contest Website until September 30th 2009. Until November 18th the online community can click their favorites in the Top 25. A top-class expert jury will nominate the five winner bands out of these favorites. They share the prizes in the amount of more than 20.000 €. Additionally the band in the first place wins an exclusive Live-Gig at the Rider’s Night of the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds on December 5th 2009 in Cassiopeia in Berlin.

The judgment panel of the Local Support Band Contest brilliantly exhibits famous music experts: Claire Oelkers (singer Karpatenhund, actress an MTV VJane), Dennis Lisk (singer/ songwriter and member of the band Absolute Beginner), Gerne Poets (manager Madsen and co-founder of Festland Musikverlag), Axel Bosse (singer/ songwriter and producer) and Johannes Strachwitz (0711 Entertainment, Massive Töne). They all share the passion for music and will take the five Newcomer band a big step forward on their way to success.
